Now we can all join in on the farming fun.

Mark your calendars, fellow farmers, because Stardew Valley will finally be making its way to Mac and Linux this week. Game creator Eric Barone, AKA Concerned Ape, posted a tweet today to announce the good news. After seeing massive success since its PC launch, the dev has worked tirelessly to bring the game to other operating systems too.

According to Barone, the game will be made available on July 29, which is next Friday. Finally, Mac and Linux users will be able to get in on the farming/dating sim fun as well.

Stardew Valley draws a lot of inspiration from the Harvest Moon games, and follows the story of a young teenager who grows tired of the modern, corporate world. He (or she, depending on what you choose) then takes over his grandfather’s farm in an effort to save it. There’s a lot of mystery surrounding the rural town, and players will even get to engage in light RPG elements in the game. There’s a lot more to it than meets the eye.
