Bioware promised that more news would come for Mass Effect: Andromeda this week, and that it would happen at CES tonight. Sure enough, that’s what happened, with the NVIDIA conference giving us some short new footage. After a speech from NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang, BioWare’s Aaron Flynn stepped on stage to show us what we’re in for in a couple of months.

The Mass Effect: Andromeda footage begins with Ryder’s ship, the Tempest, flying through an asteroid field to a new, undiscovered planet. Ryder goes to the character profile in the main menu. Once there, he enhances his Engineer and tech skills so he can use flame abilities and Overload.
Unlike in the previous three games, you can switch between the different “classes” at any point in the game, pooling all your experience points into different skill trees, or one, if you prefer. Once Ryder’s done picking his skills, he jumps back into the action to fight a squad of enemies known as the Remnant.

The reason he’s there? To gain loyalty from his new Asari squadmate, Peebee. Using his grenade launcher and tech skills (plus the jetpack!), he’s able to make quick work of them. As he drops the last bad guy, the screen cuts to black and shows the logo.
Mass Effect: Andromeda will finally arrive on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on Mar. 21.
