Weapons are your main focus in Ghost Recon Breakpoint, and you’ll want all the best possible weapons you can get, in order to have the edge over your enemies. How to Upgrade Weapons in Ghost Recon Breakpoint
To upgrade your weapons press the Options/Menu button to open your loadout page, then move your cursor and hover over the specific weapon you want to upgrade.
Press Square/X to select the ‘Edit in Gunsmith’ option. Now you’ll see a whole display of the weapon, with the first page showing the weapon’s stats, the available upgrades you have at the current mark, and on the right side the various parts.
First off, if you want to unlock an upgrade you’ll need the proper materials. This can include a wide array of things like the weapon type parts, Standard Weapon Parts, Improved Weapon Parts, and more.
To get more materials you’ll need to scavenge and find them in the world, or purchase them from shops in your home base of Erewhon.
Now select an upgrade you want, and hold X/A on it to purchase the upgrade.
Do note that the upgrade you get are persistent across all types of that specific weapon. So if you buy an upgrade for a 416 Assault Rifle, that will stay persistent on every 416 Assault Rifle you use in the game.

If you want to unlock more even better upgrades, you can unlock them in your Skills menu just to the right of Basics, where you start. To the right of Weapons you’ll see Mk+1 square that you can unlock. The first will give you access to Mark 2 weapon upgrades and costs 2 Skill Points, while the second gives you Mark 3 weapon upgrades and costs 4 Skill Points.
