The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu included a spread on the fighting game by Arc System Works and Cygames Granblue Fantasy Versus.
The spread also included an interview with director Tetsuya Fukuhara, who provided a hint to the identity of the fifth and yet unannounced DLC character coming with the first Character Pass for the game.
Fukuhara-san mentions that with the first four characters they went with a man, woman, man, woman order (Chaos Bringer, Narmaya, Soriz, and Djeta) but the fifth character is also a woman.
To be more specific he used the term “Josei” which might hint that she isn’t a very young girl due to the wording, even if this is more my personal speculation.
Incidentally, he also added that there is some progress about an arcade version of the game, whether it’ll actually come and the timing will be announced when the final decision is made.
Speaking of DLC, we also already know that the sixth DLC character who will mark the debut of Character Pass 2 is Belial. At the moment, we have no hints on the identity of the other heroes that will come afterward.
On the other hand, we do know that the identity of the mysterious lady that will join as fifth DLC character will be revealed during the Granblue Fantasy anniversary livestream in March.
Granblue Fantasy Versus launches today in Japan for PS4, while western players will have to wait for March 3, 2020.
