Sega will soon release in Japan the HD remaster of Yakuza 4 for PS4, and today the publisher released another gallery of screenshots to give fans another look at the game.
Given that Yakuza 4’s biggest enhancement is a boost in resolution compared to the original PS3 version, the screenshots have a full 1080p pixel count to provide a better idea of what we can expect from this fresh coat of paint.
This time around, the screenshots show the Fighter Maker feature which is included in Saejima’s arc of Yakuza 4. You need to help out Sodachi by helping apprentice fighters train so that his dojo will bounce back from its precarious situation.
You can check out the screenshots below. If you want to see more, you can also take a look at more screenshots showing progression and skills, another gallery showcasing sidequests, an earlier gallery (focusing on the series’ beloved minigames), and the one released before.
The game will release for PS4 in Japan on Jan. 17. At the moment, a western release has not been announced.
If you’re wondering about the future of the series, we recently heard that Shin Yakuza is making progress, and Toshihiro Nagoshi is already planning a brand new project for the studio. Yet, it’s unknown if this project will be another Yakuza title. Sega just released the spin-off Judgment in Japan and will release it in the west for PS4 next summer.
