The Final Fantasy Universe is riddled with creatures from the beyond that often lend their powers and come to the aid of mankind. Though they go by different names between each game (Summons, Eidolons, Guardian Forces, Aeons), they serve the same purpose of protecting the world in which they reside over. Summons come in many shapes and sizes, from small and fuzzy to gigantic and hell-raising. Some of them have different elemental properties, while others serve to heal the wounded.
Our goal is to help you discover which of these summons resides within you. Of the 86 summons that appear throughout the series, we narrowed it down to the seven that crop up the most and ask you questions that will lead us to one of those results.

First, do you feel like you have a spiritual connection to the earth?

It’s good that you have a connection to the earth. Having the ability to feel its needs and respond accordingly gives you the upper hand both in strength and knowledge.
As stated before, summons come in many shapes and sizes. There is a chance that the spirit of the summon that rests in you might not resemble anything human, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
If that’s the case, if you could, would you be a different species other than human?

ARE YOU THE TYPE TO HOLD A GRUDGE?
So you don’t feel all that connected to the earth. No problem. There are plenty of summons that draw their power from other places and are equally, if not more, powerful overall.
Not all summons are particularly friendly. There are some that exist and manifest from pure spite and stubbornness. They can harvest a certain malice that can wrought death and destruction if given the chance.
Thus, we must know, are you the type to hold a grudge?

So you’re willing to accept that your spirit animal isn’t necessarily human-shaped, which makes you a pretty adaptable person. This flexibility takes us one step closer to figuring out who you really are.

Speaking of things that make you happy, being in love, or love in general, can bring people a happiness that some only dream of. Loving someone, being able to make another person happy and doing things for/with them is one of the best feelings in the world, so they say. (Who is ‘they’ anyway?)

You’re like a chameleon, aren’t you? That’s cool (and maybe a little creepy).
Just like summons, humans also come in all shapes and sizes, which is wonderful. We all have our own unique physical attributes that enhance (or maybe hinder) who we are. This diversity is crucial to being true to yourself and coming into your own skin, so to speak.
So here we ask, are you someone who worries about your physical appearance?

ARE YOU SOMEONE THAT WILLINGLY TAKES A BACKSEAT TO OTHERS?
Some summons prefer to keep to the background, while others have been forgotten over time, waiting to be called upon once more, for their name to hold relevance to someone, anyone. It’s sad to think about, but there are plenty of summons that take a backseat from time to time in favor of ones that have more popularity. It doesn’t mean they are any less powerful or important, but perhaps they don’t need to be the center of attention.

Over the course of Final Fantasy history, summons have changed in appearance, whether they’ve gained some extra tidbits like jewelry or have come to take on a more human appearance. Change isn’t always a bad thing, right? Still, sometimes it’s cool to keep it original. You don’t always need an upgrade every time something new comes along, do you?

DO YOU PREFER WARM COLORS OVER COOL COLORS?
We always hate asking about color preferences, but in this case, it’s actually relevant. In many cases, color represents an elemental property that the summon possesses, which in turn translates to their personalities. (See? Relevance.)
Instead of the traditional ‘what’s your favorite color?’ however, we’re going to broaden your choices a little. It might be hard to choose, but pick the one that seems the most natural.

DO YOU HOLD YOURSELF ON A HIGHER PEDESTAL THAN OTHERS?
There are some summons that are comfortable with being support to their summoner, or simply not being as strong as others. They do what they came to do, and that’s that. However, there are those summons that are very full of themselves with egos that are large as the skies that they rule over. They usually do so with good reason, as they are extremely powerful in both strength and mind, but it certainly adds a level of intimidation that others simply do not possess.

One final question. Something easy and doesn’t take much thought. You’ve done a lot of soul searching these last few minutes, and you deserve a break from putting so much strain on your mind and body. Summoning can be exhausting, after all.
It’s all down to this. You’ve proven that you have a strong sense of self and are clearly well above the rest. So choose your terrain.

SHIVA
Your Final Fantasy summon spirit animal is Shiva, the Ice Queen. Known in the Final Fantasy universe as being scantily dressed and beautiful, Shiva is confident in herself. This confidence gives her (and you) the strength to see things through to the end. You don’t get discouraged easily, but when you do, people will feel your sadness in their bones from the chill in your tone. You also have the ability to mesh well with a lot of crowds, as most find your presence in their lives truly a blessing.
As the Ice Queen, your Diamond Dust ability freezes your foes in their tracks and shatter them to pieces. How very… cold of you.

CARBUNCLE
Your Final Fantasy summon spirit animal is Carbuncle. This cute little fox… thing… doesn’t pack much of a punch, but it loves fiercely, much like you do. You’ve got that “mom friend” vibe about you, and you find your happiness in making others feel safe and happy. There is nothing wrong with that, just make sure you’re taking care of yourself, too. Perhaps you’re a little shy and tend to fade into the background in social settings, but as long as you have those you love close by, you fall into place easily enough.
Carbuncle is a support summon, meaning when it’s called upon it protects its allies as opposed to attacking the foe at hand. You, like Carbuncle, have a knack for knowing just what to do or say to make your loved ones feel better.

TITAN
Your Final Fantasy summon spirit animal is Titan, the Protector of the Earth. With Titan residing within you, you are nearly unstoppable, a force to be reckoned with. You have a will that is rock solid and people can depend on you in a pinch. You’re a bit on the quiet side, but if someone really gets on your bad side, they better turn tail and run for their lives because you have a habit of causing mass devastation.
Titan’s ability, Gaia’s Wrath, entails literally lifting up a piece of the earth and crushing those who would oppose them. You, too, have the power and strength to take on whatever life throws at you. Just remember to throw it back twice as hard.

RAMUH
Your Final Fantasy summon spirit animal is Ramuh, the Thunder God. Don’t misinterpret his age as a shortcoming, however. Ramuh, and in turn, you, has wisdom and the power of the skies behind him. You have a compassion that can’t be surpassed and you take life’s lessons seriously. Though you have at times been replaced, you’re always waiting for the right time to make yourself known again and come back into people’s lives stronger, and overall better than ever.
Ramuh’s ability, Judgement Bolt, strikes foes down the a fierce strike of lightning that shakes them to the core. Much like Ramuh’s lightning, you hit hard and fast with your words, which can at times land you into more trouble than you started with, but it’s your ability to take experience and adapt that makes you worthy of the title of Thunder God.

IFRIT
Your Final Fantasy summon spirit animal is Ifrit, the Inferno God. Like Ifrit, you have a fire inside you that is constantly burning. At times it fuels you to be passionate and ignites a spark of creativity. Other times, it sets your temper alight and damn all those who would dare to stand in your way if that happens because the devastation you wrought will leave them burned for a long time to come. While you do have your faults (as everyone does), there’s no questioning your loyalty once you’ve chosen a side. It isn’t likely you’re willing to change your mind once it’s made, and in the rare instances you do, it’s for a good reason.
Ifrit’s ability, Hellfire, spirals enemies into a blazing inferno until it consumes them. Having this dormant within you, you have the opportunity to use it for good or for evil. It’s all a matter of how you choose to harness the fire that burns in your soul. We hope you choose to use it for good, though.

BAHAMUT
Your Final Fantasy summon spirit animal is Bahamut, King of Dragons, and more often than not, the ultimate summon. Your word is absolute, and no one can sway you once you’ve said so. Wherever you go, your presence is dominating and you’ve earned the respect of those around you one way or another. You rather not dirty your own hands unless you have no other choice, but once you do, you have little mercy.
Bahamut’s ability, Mega Flare, changes from one incarnation to the next, but the fact remains that it is so powerful that it has the potential to split the very skies that he reigns. In a very literal sense, you are the boss, and you have come to kick ass and take names.

LEVIATHAN
Your Final Fantasy summon spirit animal is Leviathan, the Goddess of the Seas. You are absolutely savage and don’t have time for the petty woes of those around you. You are proud, confident, and have the tolerance similar to that of a two year old. There’s a certain grace about you, however, that can make others stare at you in complete awe. We’re not sure if it’s because you just brutally tore down someone for that one thing, or that you did it and flounced away like they weren’t worth the verbal beating you just gave them, but we’re not here to question you. (Okay, we are. You’re scary.)
Leviathan’s ability, Tsunami, encases foes in a deadly tidal wave and drowns them in the current. If that doesn’t take care of them, you slam them back to the ground for good measure. While it’s great to be thorough, maybe you shouldn’t take yourself so seriously.

ODIN
Your Final Fantasy summon spirit animal is Odin, the God of Death. Like Odin, you don’t say much, but you don’t need to. Most times you keep to yourself and only keep the people who don’t expect much from you around. Once in a while you’ll have something to contribute, and when you do it’s very hit or miss. You’re a bit broody as well, and perhaps even a bit misunderstood, but you always try and keep pushing forward.
Odin’s ability, Zantetsuken, is a one-hit-kill sword attack he performs riding down from the heavens on the back of his trusted steed, Sleipnir
