Taking to Xbox Wire, Microsoft announced the $399 USD 2TB version of the new ‘slim’ console will hit store shelves Aug. 2. This means all pre-orders will release on that day. And best of all, pre-orders are still open through Microsoft and other retailers, though the company does note that supplies are limited and demand is high.

40 percent smaller than a standard Xbox One, the Xbox One S features a built in power supply (no more massive power brick required), one of its USB ports moved to the front, alongside an IR receiver and a pairing button, and the ability to steam video with 4K Ultra HD with High Dynamic Range (HDR).

The console also comes with the Xbox One S controller, which features textured grip, improved Xbox Wireless signal and added Bluetooth support. It shares the same new white styling as the console.

The 2TB Xbox One S will be available in the following regions: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UK and United States. Other countries will follow later this year.

As for the less expensive options, the $349 1TB console and the $299 500GB console, Microsoft simply says specific availability details will be shared soon.
