Rage 2 is full of fun weapons that you can use as you roam the huge open world. You’ll get access to the basic shotgun and assault rifle pretty quickly, but you have to work a little to get the cooler weapons. One of those is the BFG 9000 from the Doom games. Getting the Weapon
You’ve probably already got the BFG 9000 if you’re looking for how to get more ammo for it, but if you haven’t, you need to make sure that you have the Deluxe Edition of the game. If you don’t you’re not going to be able to get it.
Then, once you’ve loaded up the game, head to a meteor crater just outside of Vineland. Just head north from where you begin the game at a crossroads and as you get close, a meteor will fall from the sky, containing the weapon you’re after. BFG 9000 Ammo Location
Unlike ammo for the other weapons in Rage 2, BFG 9000 ammo does not drop from enemies and you’re not going to find it in crates throughout the world.
What you need to do instead is drive or fast travel over to the ammo vendor in Wellspring. Head into the more open area in the market area, where you’ll see a sign that says ‘Boom’. This is where you can buy the BFG 9000 ammo.
The weapon only hold seven rounds, and they’ll cost you $1000 each to purchase, so don’t go round using them all on basic enemies, unless you’ve got a lot of money to waste.
