Hundreds of games both first-party and third-party were released for the system until it was discontinued about a decade later. The legacy of many of these games lives on even today.

Nintendo revived the console in 2017 by creating the SNES Classic Edition to give people a modern and physical way to play some of these older games. Many SNES games are also available to play on Nintendo Switch Online.

Even though the Super Nintendo Entertainment System had such a vast library of games, some titles were much more popular than others. Nearly anyone can recognize the most popular games such as Super Mario World and a Link to the Past.

The biggest fans of the SNES will be able to recognize both common and obscure games from the console’s library. Do you think you can identify many SNES games from just a single screenshot? Take this quiz to find out. Good luck!
