The Witcher 3 is a gorgeous game full of sweeping vistas and dense forests. It’s certainly a graphically impressive game, and that fact holds true even when you’re viewing the Skellige Islands and No Man’s Land from above. A NeoGAF user by the name of, ahem,  EatChildren has used a camera unlocking tool to zoom completely out of the landscape and view the world of The Witcher from a top down map perspective. Needless to say, the shots are stunning.

CD Projekt Red has built a massive world for The Witcher 3, and it’s fascinating to see it from a different perspective. The first shot is a view of Velen/No Man’s Land with Novigrad included. The second shot is of the frigid Skellige Islands. Finally, the third shot gives us a look at the starting area of White Orchard. Take a look at all of  the impressive images below, and click on each image to get a larger view.

EatChildren has promised some higher resolution images in the future, and some users on the thread have started pointing out different landmarks and areas on the maps. It’s great to see such a huge game world from an angle that you’d normally never see while playing the game. What do you think of The Witcher 3’s topographical view? Are there any other games you’d like to see something similar from? Let us know down in the comments.
