Super Animal Royale Bwoking Dead LTM Returning With New Season

Super Animal Royale LTM

It has been officially announced that when Season 2 of free-to-play Super Animal Royale starts on December 14, it will be bringing with it the Bwoking Dead LTM (Limited Time Mode). The mode is a 40-player infection game type where at the start of each round, four players are turned into special zombies that then try to infect the rest of the game.

The mode will go from December 14 (the start of the second season) until January 4.

For those who might not be aware of what Super Animal Royale is, the game’s steam page describes it as:

It’s a fight for furvival! Super Animal Royale is a 64-player, frenetic, top-down 2D battle royale where murderous animals fight tooth, claw, and machine gun across an abandoned safari park. Collect and customize your favorite critters and weapons, then put them to work in solo matches or team up as a squad of up to four players!

As for the LTM, the Bwoking Dead was originally started a couple months ago to play off of a Halloween theme where players could collect pieces of candy corn in-game to trade for cosmetics.

The announcement also gave us a look at the pun title for Christmas, CRISPRmas. CRISPR, for those who might not know, is related to gene editing. This fits with Super Animal Royale is the way you unlock new animals is by collecting corresponding DNA to then watch your new critter be released from a vat.

It is unclear whether the reemergence of the Bwoking Dead will bring with it Christmas themed cosmetics, but that isn’t all the mode is good for. Seeing as the mode counts as a regular win, you get win-level rewards just for playing it. So get ready to build up your DNA collection for the promised new super animal breeds.

Super Animal Royale is free-to-play on PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One/Series X|S, and PC.
