Players who prefer to go it alone in battle royale games rejoice: The wait for a solo mode in Call of Duty: Warzone is officially over.
In a tweet posted by the official Call of Duty Twitter account, it was revealed that a single player mode has officially been rolled out for the battle royale spin-off of the first person shooter series.
The announcement was paired with a promotional screenshot of a skull trooper, standing behind a logo reading “Call of Duty: Warzone – Solos.”
It’s a pretty straight-forward announcement. Even better is the fact that the mode is now playable both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, meaning any and all players can choose to dive into the mode as soon as they’d like.

Released on Mar. 10, Call of Duty: Warzone is a battle royale multiplayer mode tied to the latest entry in the Call of Duty Franchise. Like other titles in the genre, players are tasked with dropping into an ever-shrinking battlefield, amassing as many weapons and supplies as possible, and being the last one standing in a tense battle for survival.
The game has already amassed an impressive player base, with a recorded 6 million players logging on within its first 24 hours. Granted, it probably helps that those who logged on were given a free pack of DLC and in-game cosmetics, sweetening the deal for those who take part in the series’ other multiplayer modes.
Call of Duty Warzone is currently free to play on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. For more on the game mode, check out our Warzone guides for useful tips, tricks and info on a variety of topics.
