PSP PSN Store To Be Shut Down Next Year in Japan

psp psn

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia has announced that the PSP store will be shut down on Mar. 31, 2016 in Japan. No longer will players be able to use the PSN store to buy their games digitally. However, they will be able to buy PSP games through their Vita, PS3, PC, or mobile devices to then transfer them over. Sony has been halting the PSP’s lifespan for awhile now, with no new units having been shipped since last year. While it might be disappointing that gamers won’t be able to purchase games digitally through their PSP, at least those that were purchased will still show up just fine.
