Amidst some incredibly stiff competition at The Game Awards this year, CD Projekt Red the developers behind The Witcher 3 managed to take home developer of the year.
The Witcher 3 focuses on Geralt of Rivia as he journeys around the world of The Witcher, taking monster contracts and unraveling mysteries surrounding the ones he loves. The Witcher 3 was met with high critical praise as one of the deepest open world experiences of the year. They were also given praise for consistently following up with patches for the The Witcher 3, and giving everyone a host of free DLC with the game.
The Witcher 3 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC and currently has an expansion called Hearts of Stone available. They’re next game is called Cyberpunk 2077. What do you think about CD Projekt taking home the award? Would you have chosen anyone else? Let us know in the comments.
