Artistic and beautiful, indie action game Jotun is finally making the jump to consoles with Jotun: Valhalla Edition. Releasing on PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U, players can start sinking their axes into the title starting Friday, Sept. 9.
“We know that many of you have been asking about it for a while and I can tell you it’s an amazing feeling to finally say that we’re actually launching the game!” Creative Director William Dubé admits in a post on the PlayStation Blog.
He continues, explaining how excited the team at developer Thunder Lotus is for players to “be able to experience Jotun as it should be experienced: on a couch with a controller, in front of an HDTV with a great sound system.”
Jotun follows Thora, a viking who died an inglorious death. In order to enter Valhalla, she must now prove herself worthy to the many Norse gods.
The Valhalla Edition of the game includes a new game mode, Valhalla Mode. A replayable boss rush, it will feature harder versions of each of the bosses in the main game.
The title will release on Sept. 9 for $15 USD. Already up for pre-order on the Xbox Store, the game is discounted to only $13.49.
