Gwent: The Witcher Card Game was slated to have it’s closed beta launch in September, but the developers announced on this morning they were going to need more time. The game was officially unveiled at this year’s E3 and during E3 week, CD Projekt RED opened signups for the closed beta.
Citing the need for “extra time with the game before we hand it off to you for testing,” the developers have moved the launch date to Oct. 25. While this is still just the closed beta, the team working on Gwent wants to make sure that plenty of bugs are ironed out before any gamers get their hands on the title.
Considering the delay is only a month, gamers who are lucky enough to get into the closed beta won’t have to wait too much longer. Sign ups are still available here, though the Gwent team has made it perfectly clear not everyone who signs up will get immediate access when the beta goes live.
Gwent: The Witcher Card Game is going to be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC but this first closed beta will not be available on Sony’s system.
