Upcoming GTA Online Update Adds Apartment Customization, Bodyguards, Yachts, and More

New weapons, vehicles and gamemodes incoming.

Cruise the waves in style

Rockstar’s upcoming free update for GTA Online is a big one and while the title of the free content is underwhelming, the goodies it brings are anything but. The Executives and Other Criminals content drop will include “all new gameplay modes and opportunities for luxury living… new customizable apartments, stilt houses in the Vinewood Hills, and the ultimate in executive excess: the extravagant, fully staffed and upgradeable Super Yacht.” These Goliaths of the sea also come with a new helicopter and personal watercraft.

Not only that, but players will  also be able to hire, and fire, their own team of bodyguards composed of other players who will earn rewards for services rendered to their VIP’s organization. These organizations can face off in Freemode using a bunch of new toys like “new armored vehicle variants, the devastating Turreted Limo, and the missile defense systems of the Super Yacht.” That’s right, yacht missile defense systems, sure to come in handy when dealing with pesky enemy air support.

Some old modes like King of the Hill will be adapted when played by organizations. An entirely new GTA Online mode called “Extraction Adversary Mode” where bodyguards will rush to save their executive from their downed jet and extract them before the enemy team has a chance to off the exec.

This massive update is dropping on December 15th (PS4, Xbox One, PC) so you won’t have to wait much longer to get your hands on all the new vehicles, weapons and content. You should definitely check out the trailer and article for some more details. So what are you most excited about? The Super Yachts? Or maybe you’re looking to finally score a new luxury flat.
