E3 is just under a month away, and several companies have revealed their plans for the expo. The latest to throw their hat into the ring is the kinda-indie, kinda-AAA publisher Devolver Digital.
According to a simple Twitter post, Devolver Digital’s E3 press conference will take place Sunday, June 9th at 7pm PST (10pm EST). The post doesn’t include any hints or clues of potential announcements, but it does provide a GIF ripped from the end of Devolver Digital’s E3 2018 video.
Each year, Devolver Digital produces a fake E3 press conference that satirizes the gaming industry’s current trends and controversies. These videos riff everything from buzzwords to loot boxes, mix in some actual game reveals, and feature at least one over the top (and cheesily fake) maiming. Last year, the press conference ended when the fictional Chief Synergy Officer Nina Struthers (portrayed by Mahria Zook) was gunned down and rebuilt like RoboCop.
The recent Twitter announcement GIF, which only includes the rebuilding scene, might imply that Nina Struthers will return to E3, possibly in a robot/cyborg costume. However, the real takeaway from the post is that gamers are encouraged to join the official Devolver Digital Discord channel for “potential leaks, rumors, and speculation.”

With any luck, the upcoming press conference will reveal some new titles and the release dates of games announced during last year’s E3, namely My Friend Pedro and Metal Wolf Chaos XD. Personally, I’m hoping for some Serious Sam 4: Planet Badass news.
You can bet all of your officially unofficial Devolver Digital Lootbox Coins we will cover the company’s E3 press conference, so stick with Twinfinite for more news and updates.
