You can now put your Call of Duty: WW2 skills to the test on either Xbox One or PlayStation 4, now that the game has introduced Ranked Play. The first placement season has kicked off today, Dec. 1, so you should go ahead and get that in if you’re planning on testing out how well you play against some fierce competition.
Ranked Play consists of 4v4 matches with modes like Capture the Flag, Search and Destroy, and Hardpoint. There are certain settings and rules in place culled from the very same options that eSports organizations already use, such as certain ammo, attachments, and weapons being unavailable.
When you win matches, you’ll be awarded with points that let you unlock the next rank up. If you lose a match or decide to quit early, those points will be taken away. You must complete Season 1 to receive a skill rating that you’ll be assigned in Season 2 out of Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Masters, and Pro.If you continue to leave Ranked matches early, there will be temporary bans in place to keep it from happening. Once you quit one time, you’ll be hit with a 15 minute ban, The next time you’ll be banned for 30 minutes. The third time gets you a 45 minute ban.
