Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends might only be a month old but it’s already putting up incredibly impressive numbers. In just a few weeks, the battle royale shooter has topped 50 million players, announced in a thank you video from Respawn Entertainment.

Apex Legends’ success is just as sudden and surprising as its launch was. The game released on Feb. 4 with no prior build-up or marketing but quickly found a large audience reaching 10 million players and 1 million concurrent players within 72 hours of its launch.

The video also notes a few more fun stats from the game’s first month. Since the game’s launch there have been 158 million finishers used, 1.23 billion ultimates used, 31 billion pings, 170 million respawns and, most importantly, 3 grampa triple take no-scope kills.

With this milestone, Apex Legends is gaining popularity much faster than Fortnite, which took months to reach the same number of players. However, it’s worth noting that Fortnite came out in a less battle royale-crazed atmosphere and is still far and away the most popular game in the genre.

Even still, the player base that Apex Legends is hitting so soon after launch is impressive, and undoubtedly marks a huge financial boost for publisher Electronic Arts. For a better look at Apex Legends’ growth compared to Fortnite, view this graph from Roundhill Investments:
