The PS4 has a packed year ahead of it. A steady lineup of exclusives, third-party support, some impressive looking indies, and the arrival of PlayStation VR lie ahead in 2016. There are a lot of games hitting Sony’s latest console, so we’ve put together a list of all the titles confirmed to be releasing in North America this year.
To make things easier, we’ve removed games that are for the PlayStation VR and put them in a handy little list here.
Abzu
Revealed at E3 2014, Abzu is coming to us from the minds that helped bring Flower and Journey to players. Explore an underwater world full of beauty and intrigue as you interact with the life below the surface of the water.
Adr1ft
Keeping up with exploration, Adr1ft will leave players in control of an astronaut in first person as they explore a wrecked space station. With no memory of the events that lead to this, you will have to find out exactly what happened.

This action strategy game comes to you from Acquire (Tenchu, Akiba’s Trip). Defend your city from huge monsters, and other assaults as you fight to defend the last stand of humanity.
Agatha Christie’s The ABC Murders (2/23/2016)
It’s time to solve a mystery in England in order to prevent a murder. Take control of Hercule Poirot and investigate, question, and collect all you need in order to solve this conundrum on the PS4.
AIPD – Aritificial Intelligence Police Department (1/29/2016)
This highly colorful, neon-infused, twin-stick shooter puts players in control of a customizable ship in order to combat evil AI. The bright lights and non-stop shooting finds a perfect home on the PS4.
Alekhine’s Gun (2/9/2016)

Broforce (3/1/2016)
Experience explosive action inspired by some of the greatest action movies of the 80’s and 90’s. Take control of Rambro, Broniversal Soldier, Double Bro Seven, and many other bro-infused classic heroes as you fight to defend your nation and your bros. It’s been available on PC for some time, but look forward to the PS4 release during the first half of 2016.
Castles
This colorful indie title from WhootGames mixes strategy and action as you work to build a tower. Different bricks will form puzzles for you to solve in urder for your title to continue to grow. Boss fights and franctic action await you on the PS4.
Crypt of the NecroDancer (2/2/2016)
Crypt of the NecroDancer takes dungeon crawling and mixes it up by adding rhythm to the whole affair. You must move with the beat in order to continue and successfully attack enemies. Failure to do so will leave you open and ultimately lead to your demise. Can you make it to the end?
Dark Souls III (4/12/2016)

Firewatch (2/9/2016)
In Firewatch, players will play as a man named Henry who works as a fire lookout in the wilderness of Wyoming. The only company you’ll have on your adventure is the voice on the other end of a handheld radio, your supervisor Delilah. On one particular day, you’ll be lured out of your lookout tower to discover some strange happenings which will ultimately lead to a difficult situation you must find your way out of.
Formula Fusion
Formula Fusion is a racing game with anti-gravity. Players will have to take on the rest of the world in a series of leagues and championships against the AI. The game also supports online multiplayer, so you can test your skills against other wannabe racers.
Gal Gun: Double Peace
In this rather whacky game, protagonist Hodai Kudoki has been shot with a magical arrow that makes every girl fall madly in love with him. However, once the effects of the arrow wear off the next day, Hodai will never be able to get a girlfriend again. Players must help protagonist Hodai Kudoki get a love confession from one of his oldest and dearest friends by the end of the day.
Gang Beasts
Gang Beasts pits players against one another as they fight their gelatinous group of beasts to the death across a number of different stages. Use the environment around you to deal the finishing blow to your opponents and laugh at the sheer bizarre nature of it all.
Get Even
Get Even is a first-person shooter that will have players diving deep into the memories of its central heroes. Intense fighting action with a roster of over 20 crazy fighters. Cross platform play between the PS4 and PS3, new mechanics, such as alternate ways to pull off combos, and a solid soundtrack.
Gunscape
A multiplayer shooter built around the aspect of creating and sharing levels. You can create all types of maps for players to blast their way through, and you’ll even be able to play those made by others.
Gunsport
Volleyball apparently wasn’t fun enough, so Gunsport is adding some excitement to it. Keep the ball in the air by shooting it, the longer the volley, the more points its worth. Games can get really tense in Gunsport.
Headlander
Double Fine is taking a step away from awesome adventure games in order to deliver this unique looking, side-scrolling, puzzle-shooter.

Hellblade
Mixed with dark influences and a touch of Viking lore, Hellblade puts players in control of Senua. She’s a tough warrior princess who doesn’t back down, no matter how vicious the adversary. Created by Ninja Theory, it looks to impress.
Hitman (3/11/2016)
Agent 47 is back and accepting contracts. Now a AAA episodic game, you’ll be able to explore large, open environments and take out targets however you see fit with new options at your disposal.
Homefront: The Revolution (5/17/2016)
A unified Korea has invaded the country, and everyone is now under their rule. You will not stand for this. This open world FPS allows you to join the revolution and take back what’s yours.
Horizon: Zero Dawn
After Killzone: Shadowfall, nobody knew what Guerrilla Games would be up to next. It turned out it would be a stunning, open-world RPG. One with mechanical robots, a strong heroine, and a post-apocalyptic world.
Ironcast (3/1/2016)
Ironcast places players in control of a mech. These mechs are controlled through linking nodes in a puzzle-like setting. Each color provides a different effect. Linking the right nodes while you have the opportunity will spell the difference between victory and defeat.
Jenny LeClue
Jenny Leclue is an exploration adventure game where you play as the quirky, young, brilliant detective Jenny. She’s on the search for some excitement, but she may have found more than she’s bargained for.
Killing Floor 2

Last Wings

SmuggleCraft
SmuggleCraft is a quest-based racing game. Instead of doing laps around tracks, you’ll be racing to deliver some smuggled items and other sorts of missions.
Snow
A visually impressive skiing game with a focus on realism and amazing tricks. The open world leads to tons of exploration and you can even edit the terrain with items to pull off some amazing tricks.
South Park: The Fractured but Whole
Stick of Truth brought fantasy to the children of South Park, but now it’s time for superheroes and villains to have their day. You’re a new kid, and you have to fight crime with the best of them.
Space Hulk: Deathwing

This edition of Toki Tori 2 takes the adorable puzzle gameplay in this mysterious world and adds something that was missing when it was first release: writing. The story was implied before, but it flew over many people’s heads so the developers went in and did some reworking, as well as updating the game for the PS4.

Wattam isn’t exactly the easiest game to explain. Even the developers aren’t exactly sure of what it is. What we do know is that it’s a puzzle game, that you can play with friends, but not everything is a puzzle. An interesting experience indeed.

A third person thriller inspired by Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls. Without Memory tasks players with leading Anna, a girl with no memory, through the spychological story. Decisions will affect the world and Anna directly.
Wondershot
Wondershot is a top down multiplayer shooter party game. Choose your weapon and step into the arena, but choose wisely. One shot and you’re dead, and with each weapon having a unique special ability you’ll need to master them all.
World of Final Fantasy
Final Fantasy is out in full force this year. Collect and raise iconic monsters from across the series and use them to create towers that you battle with. It’s a spinoff that adds an extra dose of cute to the Final Fantasy world.
Y2K
Y2K is an indie, JRPG-styled, game from AckkStudios. You play as Alex Eggleston, and the death of a stranger has left you wondering just what happened. This leads to a huge adventure involving old friends and interdimensional mysteries. With the flavor of the Mother games (Earthbound), this one certainly looks interesting.
Yooka-Laylee
Slated for October of this year, this spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie caught everybody’s attention when Playtonic Games launched the Kickstarter campaign. The bright colors, humorous animal protagonists, and collectathon gameplay looks to bring in wave upon wave of nostalgia.
