Running and Getting Away in We Happy Few
If you’re anything like me, you’ll end up doing something horrible and find yourself fleeing from some seriously pissed off NPCs in We Happy Few. While simply walking really fast may help in areas with a lot of obstacles, sometimes you’ll need to kick it into high-gear and run for your life.
To run, simply click in the left thumbstick as you would in most first-person action games. This consumes stamina rapidly, though, so keep an eye out on the yellow bar that appears at the bottom of your screen. Your stamina reserves lessen as your fatigue rises, meaning if you haven’t slept in a while, you won’t be able to run very far. If you’re on PC, you’ll have to hold down the Shift key in order to sprint.
Because you have a limited amount of stamina in the game, we recommend sprinting away, and then looking for yellow foliage you can hide in. Once in Maidenholm, you can look for alleyways or vent shafts in buildings. Once you find a hiding place, stay there until the situation calms down before heading out again. If you’re just trying to avoid suspicion, and NPCs haven’t turned hostile just yet, you can also sit on a bench and wait for them to move on.
If you’re trying to mix in some jumping with your high speed antics in We Happy Few, keep in mind that that will eat up extra stamina.
