The developer revealed the upcoming free DLC for this week via a tweet (included below) on the official The Witcher Twitter account. This is the 15th drop of free DLC out of the 16 that CD Projekt Red promised prior to the release of The Witcher 3.

The free DLC will allow players to slice down enemies in new and exciting ways thanks to new finisher animations. For those of you that have played The Witcher 3 for a long time, you’ll probably be praising the lords for this one. While the finisher animations already included in the game were brilliant, they could sometimes get a bit repetitive.

As previously mentioned this is the 15th of 16 free DLC drops that developer CD Projekt Red have released for The Witcher 3, with the two upcoming paid expansions set to provide massive chunks of extra content. The previous free drops of DLC have ranged from anything between a new beard and haircut for Geralt, all the way to fully fledged quests.

With only one more drop of free DLC remaining for The Witcher 3, fans will be trying to work out exactly what this final free titbit of content could be. However until then, many fans will be pleased with the release of patch 1.07. The patch added a large number of tweaks and changes to the base game, including new movement options to a more refined and manageable inventory.

Many gamers have been unsurprisingly delighted with the way that CD Projekt Red have worked post-launch on supporting The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and also the manner in which the downloadable content and upcoming expansions have been managed. It’s certainly the way that other studios should look to implement post-launch support for their games if they want to keep fans happy.
