Now that everyone’s able to play Elder Scrolls Online regardless of system and now that it’s free to play, it’s time to talk expansions. Bethesda has announced the first expansion for the MMO, The Imperial City.
Under siege from Molag Bal, the heroes of Tamriel must band together to liberate the titular city. The City comes with six districts, new dungeons for both normal and veteran players, new quests, and additional enemies. Also new to the expansion is the Tel Var Stones currency. These can be traded for high level (Veteran Rank 16) gear or for opening treasure vaults that hold rare items.
The Imperial City will be available to Elder Scrolls Online PC/Mac players on August 31. Xbox One and PlayStation 4 owners will be able to grab it on September 15 and 16, respectively. Imperial City is included in the ESO Plus membership, or it can be bought for 2500 crowns (roughly $17.50-25). Do you plan on picking up The Imperial City? Let us know in the comments below.
