Grand Theft Auto V Delayed Yet Again on PC

Seriously, is anyone out there surprised?

Well there’s a big surprise PC owners. We’ve been frantically scurrying about, trying to upgrade our systems ready to take on The Witcher 3. We’ve been preparing ourselves for whenever the next Steam sale might land. We’ve even been looking to the end of March to bring us a little taste of Rockstar’s love with Grand Theft Auto V. Sadly, the last of those three has become a slightly more distant dream, as Rockstar announced today that they’re pushing the open world title back yet again.

Now lining up for an April 14th release date, Grand Theft Auto V has been available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 since September 2013, with the older siblings of those consoles getting their share of crime in November of last year. PC owners are just left to wait once more for the chance to enjoy Grand Theft Auto V on their favorite systems.

In a statment, Rockstar said “Our apologies to PC gamers worldwide who have been counting down the days until the launch of the game, but a bit more time is needed to ensure that the game is as polished as possible, and to make certain that both Heists and the GTA Online experience are ready to roll out on day one for PC.” So there’s something, PC owners. At least we get to enjoy Heists on the first day.

To compensate those who may have already pre-ordered Grand Theft Auto V on PC, Rockstar said they will be giving everyone an additional $200,00 to be used in the online portion of Grand Theft Auto V, GTA Online.

This is the third delay Grand Theft Auto V has seen on PC, with its initial release date expected to be January 27th of this year. Hold on, third delay? Grand Theft Auto V is taking half a lifetime to come to PC? Half-Life 3 confirmed?

Are you a PC player who’s been burned yet again by the delays? Are you ok with Grand Theft Auto V being delayed further on the understanding that Rockstar will use the time to further optimize the PC experience? Let us know in the comments below.
