Today, Square Enix has finally nailed down a release date for their cyberpunk action-RPG Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. The second installment of Adam Jensen’s adventures will hit the PS4, PC, and Xbox One on February 23, 2016. Mankind Divided is all about choices, from how you’ll progress through a level to what you’ll say in dialogue, so it’s fitting that players will be making another big choice: choosing the pre-order bonuses they want.
The video above goes into greater detail, but here’s what you gotta do. First, you have to pre-order the game from any retailer and choose your first reward. The rewards range from costume packs (tier 1) to exclusive missions and digital novellas (tiers 3 and 4, respectively). The more pre-order numbers climb, the more rewards that’ll be unlocked. If the goal is reached, players will get to select from each tier, along with unlocking the game four days early. When you pick up your copy of the game, you’ll enter a special code that’ll come with whatever you selected from each tier when you pre-ordered. These bonuses also transfer over if you get the Collector’s Edition, which also comes with a limited edition steelbook, 48 page art book, and an Adam Jensen statue. A price point for that hasn’t been announced, but when it has, we’ll let you know.
It’s actually kinda cool in a weird way. Kickstarting pre-order rewards is probably going to be more of a thing as time goes on, but if it means getting a (hopefully) fully working game before your pals, then why not? You can pre-order here.
