4 Missions That Would Propel GTA V Online's Heists to Glory

Here are GTA V Online Heists that MUST be added to the game...

Fort Zancudo Army Base Raid

GTA V
Fort Zancudo is one of the most popular spots for players to invade whilst online.

One of the largest obsessions in GTA V is attempting the treacherous breach of the Fort Zancudo Army Base. Tanks, an infinite amount of enemies, anti-aircraft guns and jets are thrown together to create an often short but sweet thrill ride. This base has yet to be properly utilized in the first wave of online heists released for players, but the opportunity is there for something perhaps unique.

Army Bases are used to hold military equipment, weapons of mass destruction, and secrets hidden from the populace’s view. Maybe some of these assets would pose a threat to Los Santos, so why not try to rob them. One of the most defining easter eggs in the regular single player mode is the discovery of UFO’s, linked to the army base and shrouded in mystery, could this make a return into a unique online heist?

Regardless, whether it is UFO’s, weapons, or uncovering a closely guarded secret, this mission could lead to a lot of interesting scenarios. It would involve loading up with enough ammunition to take out a tank and stealthily sneaking into the base itself, before an extremely explosive escape to tell Los Santos the secrets their government hides.

Fort Zancudo would have been a very obvious place to put a heist, and surprisingly Rockstar didn’t include it within the first Heist releases of GTA V. Players are now anxiously waiting for when it will be included and why.

The Vinewood Casino Raid

Vinewood Casino has been completely un-utilised.

The most intriguing building in the game, taking up a large land-mass and plays no part in the story or online modes. A large banner over the entrance reads “Opening Soon”, and since the original release of GTA V online in 2013 it has not been mentioned at all by Rockstar. This would be a big heist, promising major winnings with high stakes.

Casino’s are often some of the most secured areas in any city around the world with watchful CCTV, corrupt owners, and money of varying legalities flowing in from every corner. Security will be on point, knowing of a crew slowly taking over Los Santos, and so this heist would require strategy, stealth, and a lot of precision.

Currently, the online heists available in GTA V are quite open ended. They don’t require delicate planning, preferring to offer a process that can at times be rather robotic and obvious. This could be an opportunity to create a truly difficult heist requiring key communication where the trigger has to be pulled exactly at the right time and the vaults of cash need to be robbed under a strict timeline.

Any mistake could lead to the end of the heist, along with a monumental bounty placed on the crew. Stakes are high, but so are the winnings. The Vinewood Casino is an area waiting for a DLC so players can utilize it, and a heist should be underway.

Crew versus Crew

Online Heists is the only game mode that doesn’t involve player competition.

Two crews have been going around Los Santos, killing and murdering with money now spilling out of their pockets. But there is another heist that has appeared, and Lester has his hands tied with two different crews wanting in on the cash. This turns into an all-out gang war. The money-pot is out there and you’ll have to coordinate in order to outsmart the other four players wanting the money.

There will be set-up missions, with both crews doing the same thing and seeing each other at them. Things won’t go down in a friendly manner though. This type of game mode will require a lot of communication and strategy to outsmart another crew to get the money first. It could all lead to a lot of chaos, death, and violence, but that’s a small price to pay for a butt-load of interesting scenarios.

Every other online game mode is about competition but heists is yet to influence this into its current release. The heist would be hard to program, requiring encouragement for players to actually complete set-up missions than just mercilessly killing another team, but the opportunity is there and the winnings could be astronomical.

Sabotage

What if the enemy, is your own crew member?

Corruption is a key aspect of GTA, and now somebody in Los Santos is threatening to use power and money to bribe and send the city into chaos. Gang wars will become public and the police force will be under his power. As a crew you have to discover, find, and kill this person before his plan goes into action. The problem is: they know you’re coming.

Doppelgangers, fake bait, and a bunch of dead-ends will leave you stumped as the real person behind this still a mystery. This time, your crew has to take this personally, breaking down the walls of set-up missions as this person threatens to tear you apart. While the mystery continues to grow of his identity, more unintended targets continue to die and the city turns to chaos, perhaps the corrupted person isn’t someone new, but someone you know all too well.

This heist could be set up depending on who in your crew has been heist leader the most, winning the most money and has started to grow corrupted with the winnings. This person has to conceal himself from the rest of the crew and try to break away and steal everything whilst remaining unknown.

A brand new concept, unique compared to the other heists in GTA V , and will completely twist the cooperation of heists as one of crew members is in fact the enemy all along.
