Steam Germany Has Removed 27 Games From its Store

Kiss these 27 games goodbye from Steam Germany... for now.

Retro German gamers look out because Valve recently took down 27 games from Steam Germany as noted by NeoGAF user Henrar. Here’s the full list from a recent post by Steam Germany Steam Community page:

On top of banning these games, Valve has also removed the following bundles:

  • Painkiller Hell and Damnation Standard 4-pack

  • POSTAL 2 4-Pack
  • POSTAL 2 + Paradise Lost
  • Rise of the Triad – 4 Pack (also relates to Key activation)
  • Star Wars Collection – 2015 -RP
  • The Apogee Throwback Pack (also relates to Key activation)
  • The Chaos Engine 2-Pack (also relates to Key activation)

Valve noted that this list isn’t complete, meaning that there’s a chance that more games have also been removed. While the post itself doesn’t mention why these games have been banned, it notes that these games have also been banned on other German store sites such as Gamesplanet because they’re on an index of “Which titles are (mostly) on the index of media harmful to young persons have been removed from the German store.”

While these games have been removed from Steam, NeoGAF users such as Hektor have noted that anybody who owns these games already can still play them.
