Location Compass

stardew valley, mod

It can be annoying to constantly try and keep track of where all the NPCs in Stardew Valley are hanging out at any particular day and time. This mod places compass needles on-screen that show you the direction of any one of the villagers, and also has a steps counter so you can know who is closer or farther away. This should make gift giving a much simpler task.

Easy Petting

stardew valley, mods

If you are less focused on crops and tend to make farms with a lot of animals, going around every morning to pet every single critter can be a task that’s hard to keep up on. If you have a huge barn with tons of animals inside or they keep walking inside and outside before you can check on them, it’s frustrating to keep track of who you already pet.

To simplify things, this mod has your animals display a heart over their head until you give them their designated pet for the day. That way, you can know exactly who is still in need of some TLC without having to go back over and check every animal again. This function also works for your pet cat or dog as well.

Reader’s Digest

mods, stardew valley

Instead of watching the cooking show every day to learn all the game’s recipes, this mod sends them right to your mailbox. If you pair this one with the next noteworthy mod on the list, you will be able to eliminate the use of the TV entirely.

Forecaster

stardew valley, mods

A perfect mod to use with the previous Readers Digest mod that negates the usefulness of the cooking channel, this mod displays the weather and daily fortune message as a notification in the corner of your screen every day.

You no longer have to check the weather channel to know what you have in store weather-wise. Once downloaded, you won’t have a use for the TV at all.

Underdark Sewer

stardew valley, mods

If you want a darker and creepier sewer, then this is the mod for you. It provides a total overhaul of the underground maze, covered in vines and mushrooms with a more cave-like color palette of purple and blue. It also adds more map to the sewers, and a few new creatures as well

. This mod was made alongside another one released last month that changes the NPC Krobus into an elf with 11 color options and a bunch of new dialog. We recommend downloading these two mods together, as it also unlocks more areas of the sewers with more spooky experiences to be had.

Looking for Love

mods, stardew valley

This mod is an updated version of Siv’s Marriage Mod, which originally released in May 2016. In it, you can now romance and marry Clint, Gus, Lewis, Linus, Marnie, Pam, Sandy, Willy, and the Wizard. Previously, they were not included in the list of available singles and you had no option to offer them a bouquet to instigate a relationship.

There are special spouse rooms for each when you marry, eight-heart and 10-heart events while romancing, post-marriage dialog and schedules, and visual updates for each character.

The update here ensures there are no errors in heart events, replaces some nonsensical dialog where your wife can be referred to as your husband by certain NPCs, and fixed various bugs such as Lewis not being able to dance with you at the yearly Flower Dance.

Industrialization Mod

mods, stardew valley

This mods changes and adds new machines within Stardew Valley to take a more industrial approach to create a product to sell. The altered and brand new machines listed in the mod’s description include:

  • Electric Furnace: Smelts ores twice as fast, and can smelt pulverized dust without the need of coal to operate.
  • Pulverizer: Breaks down two ores for one pulverized mound, it can then be smelted (just one) at an electric furnace (so you’re spending two ores instead of five).
  • Electric Mining Driller: A more unified version of all drillers, takes three batteries to work and has a chance of finding Coal, Copper, Iron, Gold and Iridium ore. Takes six hours to complete.
  • Electric Generator: Converts coal into battery packs.
  • Saw Bench: Converts hardwood into Regular wood.
  • Gem Polisher: Makes gems more shiny and valuable, can be upgrade three times (to Iridium), better quality takes four times longer.
  • Rock Smasher: Can smash stone for a chance of ore, can also process geodes for Minerals.

The actual sprites for the machines themselves are also reskinned and/or recolored as well.

Secret Garden Greenhouse

mod, stardew valley

This mod grants players a new greenhouse with a new appearance so it looks like a whimsical garden complete with a water feature. It still works in the same way as the original greenhouse, it is just expanded and has a much more detailed interior. This mod also works well with new and old saves alike.

Beehive Reskin

mods, stardew valley

This simple but sweet mod changes the appearances of drab old beehouses into adorable beehives for a more realistic look. If you are going for more of a cutesy, small-town farm look, these beehives will definitely add some charm and make your farm look a lot more low-key.

Tools Geodes

mods, stardew valley

Tools and weapons can sometimes feel pretty basic. This mod seeks to rectify that by allowing you to customize your handheld items by entering items into slots to enhance their abilities. For tools, improvements include:

  • Star shards – Use your tools where you click, even when not right next to you.
  • Aerinite – Use less stamina.
  • Ocean stone (Watering Can) – Provide infinite water to the watering can.
  • Opal (Watering Can/Hoe) – Increase the length of your charged tool by two tiles.
  • Fire opal (Watering Can/Hoe) – Increase the width of your charged tool by one tile in each direction.
  • Fairy stone (Watering Can/Hoe) – Instant tool charging.
  • Tigerseye (Pick/Hoe) – Provides true-sight, seeing inside rocks and dig spots.

As for weapons, a Thunderegg provides more damage, Jamborite provides more knockback to enemies, Lunarite increases attack speed, Helvite provides a greater chance for a critical hit, and Neptunite allows you to pierce through rock crab, bug, and fallen mummy armor.

Using a rare Prismatic Shard also give three more geode slots for both tools and weapons.
