In the latest issue of MCV, Xbox UK marketing executive Harvey Eagle has expressed his confidence over how well the Xbox One will do over the holidays.

“We’ve been very focused on building the right plan to get us through this period,” he said. “With the new features, the great new games that have just come out, some of the amazing games that are about to come out, plus some of the deals that we and our retail partners will have, we’re making the Xbox One the most attractive console to buy out there.”

“It makes us very confident in how the next few weeks are going to go,” he added.

It’s not hard to see why Eagle feels so optimistic. Two highly anticipated Xbox exclusive games have just been released in the form of Halo 5: Guardians and Rise of the Tomb Raider. The Xbox One has also had a new update which allows backwards compatibility with Xbox 360 games and it’s cheaper than a PlayStation 4. Games such as Fallout 4, Star Wars: Battlefront, and Just Cause 3 are being released about now and will have gamers thinking of making the jump to next gen.

Will you be getting an Xbox One over the holidays?
