Today Nippon Ichi Software revealed the sequel of its cutesy game Void Terrarium, titled simply Void Terrarium 2 or not-so-simply void* tRrLM2();.
Those familiar with the previous game of what’s now officially a series likely won’t be surprised at the weird title.
Void Terrarium 2 will be released in Japan on June 30 for PS4 and Nintendo Switch. No western release has been announced for the moment, but that’s pretty normal considering that the announcement for Japan just happened. It’ll likely be a while before NIS America chimes in.
The announcement came with a trailer and a batch of screenshots, that you can enjoy below.
The game promises to maintain the charming (and a bit creepy) worldview of the original game while improving the dungeon RPG gameplay elements and those dedicated to taking care of the little girl Toriko.
There are new diseases that can affect Toriko, including one that turns her into a balloon, and one that has her become dehydrated. To help her you can tweak the terrarium’s humidity, temperature, and atmosphere.
You can install a humidifier and aquatic plants, but if the environment becomes too humid, Toriko may become covered in mold.
If you’re unfamiliar with the original, void tRrLM(); //Void Terrarium is available for PS4 and Switch, while void tRrLM();++ //Void Terrarium++ is available for PS5.
