The Nintendo Versus Twitter account has announced that the 12th Tetris 99 Maximus Cup will take place this upcoming weekend. Nintendo must know how many people have been relying on Ring Fit Adventure to stay active lately, which is why the latest competition will be featuring the popular fitness game.
Like in previous Tetris 99 Maximus Cups, there will be a reward for players who do well in the competition. Earning at least 100 event points will award players with a Ring Fit Adventure theme in the game.
As always, points in the Maximus Cup will be awarded based on how well players rank in each battle: 1st place receives 100 points, 2nd place receives 50 points, 3rd place receives 30 points, 4th-10th place receives 20 points, 11th-30th place receives 15 points, 31st-50th place receives 10 points, 51st-90th place receives 5 points, and 91st-99th place receives 1 point.
The official Nintendo Twitter account also tweeted a video showcasing the Ring Fit Adventure in-game theme that can be unlocked for earning at least 100 points:
Since Tetris 99 is exclusive to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers, you must have an active online membership in order to download and play the game. The physical copy of the game comes with a 12-month online membership.
The 12th Tetris 99 Maximus Cup will begin on April 24 at 12:00 a.m. PT and will last until April 27 at 11:59 p.m. PT.
