Ubisoft Confident That Watch Dogs 2 Multiplayer Will Work at Launch

"Seamless Multiplayer" is a no go right now.

Watch Dogs 2 is set to officially release worldwide tomorrow but, despite this, the experience’s seamless multiplayer components are currently not working, keeping many players who managed to nab early copies of the game from going online.

Ubisoft reached out to us and stated that any attempt made to access the multiplayer portion of the game will likely fail, resulting in a pop-up notice that reads “There’s currently an issue with the seamless multiplayer feature causing the game to lag and crash periodically. To eliminate that issue, seamless multiplayer is offline until we’re able to fix it.”

However, the studio has also stated they were “confident” that Watch Dogs 2 would be completely live and working by launch day; the 15th of November.

At present, only the co-operative missions with friends is working and available, so here’s hoping that everything is up and running within the next 24 hours, or we may have a problem on our hands.
