XSEED Games has announced today The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel I and II for the PlayStation 4 in North America. The games will launch in two separate physical editions at $49.99 each in early 2019.
Featuring the same experience from the original PS Vita and PS3 versions, the PS4 versions also include some notable improvements from the PC ports. Visual enhancements are a given, but the games will also feature over 5,000 added English voice lines. New to the PlayStation 4 titles will be an option for Japanese dub.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Decisive Edition includes:
- Physical copy of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel on PS4 system
- 50 Mira replica Collector’s Coin
- Musical Selections CD containing 21 full-length tracks
- SteelBook case featuring only artwork, with a separate outer package design
The game’s sequel, Trails of Cold Steel II Relentless Edition includes:
- Physical copy of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II on PS4 system
- Ouroboros Emblem Pin
- Musical Selections CD containing 23 full-length tracks
- SteelBook case featuring only artwork, with a separate outer package design
XSEED also announced that owners of the PC version of Cold Steel I and II will receive Japanese voices in an upcoming update.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II first arrived in the West in Sept. 2016. Despite the series having just released its fourth entry (as Sen no Kiseki 4) in Japan last week, neither Nihon Falcom or XSEED have announced a localization of the third game for the West.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel I and II are available on PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and PC. The PS4 versions will launch in early 2019.
