Today the Japanese Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association, which organizes Tokyo Game Show, reached out with a press release to announce the publishers and developers that will attend the virtual reality version of the show.
Last year’s VR experience was considered a success having drawn 210,000 visitors who spent 27 minutes in the venue on average. A survey conducted among visitors determined that more than 90% of
respondents were satisfied with the event and over 98% intended to participate again.
This year, feedback from users and companies that participated last year has been taken to heart and the organizers aim to incorporate even more features to create new ways for participants to enjoy the event.
The setting is a “dungeon” which is a familiar environment for gamers, promising “thrilling adventures.” The organizers hope to “deliver an experience that is only possible in the virtual world, where the game show itself can be enjoyed in the same way as a game.” The theme is “diving into the unknown and going on an adventure.”
The list of participating companies is as follows, including sponsors.
