Titanfall 2 is one of the most anticipated titles of 2016 and it’s finally almost here. Those of you getting your mechs ready for combat will be interested to learn that the game will have a day one patch, but don’t worry, it’s really small.
Respawn Entertainment’s CEO Vince Zampella recently took to Twitter to jokingly warn players that they might need to clear some space on their hard drives in order to fit the update.
Clear some space on your hd, the #Titanfall2 day one patch is… 88MB

It has not been explained exactly what the patch will do for the game but day one patches usually fix bugs and sure the game up a little. The reason day one patches exist is because, once the game has gone gold and is on its way for mass production, devs will continue to work on the game. An update can then be released to put any extra work on the final product. 88MB is a very small size for an update. For example, Halo 5: Guardians featured a 9 GB day one patch.
Titanfall 2 is set to be released this week on October 28 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Unlike the first game, this one is not exclusive to Microsoft and so many PlayStation gamers will be able to experience the mech combat for the first time. Are you ready to drop?
