Total War: Three Kingdoms Video Shows Empire Building

Total War: Three Kingdoms

One of the most exciting parts of playing a Total War game is seeing your influence on the map grow, and a brand new Total War: Three Kingdoms video explains how players will build their empires in the new game.

The video starts with a look into how to best utilize faction perks, recruit new units, call in generals, organize armies, and refresh troops. Fans also get to see how their leaders will navigate the world map and the ways that things like towns, weather, and terrain all need to be taken into consideration when moving units.

Additionally, this video provides a great explanation of how the management of a territory works in Three Kingdoms. The narrator is able to take an enemy town by force and invest in the province to replenish his supplies and troops.

He invests in the newly acquired settlement through branching skill trees. Each skill tree has a different focus such as government support or land development.

Another central empire expansion element noted by the narrator is faction support. Having full faction support improves the amount a player can gain from a province, and new territories will need time to adjust to their new rulers.

Based on this video, Three Kingdoms seems to be providing the in-depth empire building experience Total War fans have come to expect. The intricacies of the world map, factions, generals, and provinces should give the players plenty to do and learn when the game is released.
