If you’re still snickering about one of the names in the new PlayStation 4 God of War adventure because you’re an Avengers fan, you haven’t seen anything yet. If you’re still reeling over the cinematic thrill ride that’s taken the world by storm, you’ll want to dig even deeper for this cool Easter egg. As it turns out, God of War has its own Infinity Gauntlet lurking within. That’s right, and you probably had no idea! Read ahead for its unexpected connection to the Avengers — spoiler alert! You’ve been warned.
The Sindri’s Family Business quest is where things start out. Upon completion, you’ll get the Shattered Gauntlet of Ages, which has three sockets and the following description: “An ancient relic of Hel deemed too powerful to remain whole, fragments of its former strength lie scattered throughout the realms.” An eagle-eyed Redditor named moxxxxxi ended up finding this out — there are actually six different kinds of enchantments that you can use for the gauntlet, and they all correspond to a different Infinity Stone, as required by the real Infinity Gauntlet.
- Andvari’s Soul – Soul Stone
- Njord’s Temporal Stone – Time Stone
- Eye of the Outer Realm – Space Stone
- Ivaldi’s Corrupted Mind – Mind Stone
- Asgard’s Shard of Existence – Reality Stone
- Muspelheim Eye of Power – Power Stone
Once you gather those stones together, you’ll have what is, essentially, the Infinity Gauntlet, not so much in name, but, well…
Awesome, right? Now get out there and try to find it!
