Today Sony Interactive Entertainment released a brand new developer diary video about its upcoming game The Last of Us Part II.
This featurette is focused on the game’s world. We hear how it’s bigger than ever, but also how it has been built and designed.
We also hear from the developers about Jackson County and Seattle, that are completely opposite environments that we’ll visit when we play.
Another topic is the factions that we’ll have to fight as we explore Seattle.
Interestningly, we also hear about dogs, and more about the infected.
You can check it out below.
If you want to see more, you can check out the latest trailer from earlier today, the new gameplay from a few days ago. We also learned that a new official podcast is also coming, and will launch on June 9.
Sony Interactive Entertainment recently reopened digital pre-orders for the game on the PlayStation Network. The game is ready and has “gone gold” ahead of its launch.
The Last of Us Part II will be released on June 19, exclusively for PlayStation 4.
You can also enjoy the previous trailer, the latest screenshots, a recent trailer, and read some more recent comments by director Neil Druckmann on gameplay, graphics, and story, on top of some on the work of animators and producers.
We also have the previous featurette on the story, one on gameplay, and one on the research done by the team.
Speaking of The Last of Us, we also recently learned that a TV series is coming to HBO, co-written by director Neil Druckmann himself, with composer Gustavo Santaolalla working on the music.
