Earlier today, Bandai Namco released the Tekken 7 announcement trailer, which highlighted key moments from the Tekken series before revealing more information about the upcoming title.
The new video takes you down memory lane by reliving moments from every numbered Tekken game leading up to Tekken 7. These moments include the day Heihachi threw Kazuya off a cliff, Tekken 1 to 3’s famous PS1 FMV cutscenes, and hey, even Tekken 4 gets its moment in the sun.
However, all that cheerful nostalgic celebration leaves the screen the second Tekken 7 is mentioned. From here, we see Heihachi and Kazuya once again staring each other down. Heihachi reveals his frustrations towards Jin selling the Mishima Zaibatsu from him, while Kazuya talks about having “obtained overwhelming power.” We are also shown a picture of Kazuya holding someone up with a spiked red glove, so does that mean that he’s somehow managed to steal Jins devil gene?
Tekken 7 is being built up as the final game in the Mishima saga, and now console gamers will be able to take part too, as it will be coming to the PS4 and the Xbox One.
