As another year draws to a close, it’s time we take a retrospective gander at the games that stood out from the rest this year on Steam.
From titles both old and new that dominated the charts, to brand new releases, to the most played, to games that flourished and fledged from early access to full release, garnering thriving communities in the process – it’s time we celebrate them all.
Top Sellers this year including sales, in-game transactions, and DLC are:
- Rocket League
- Grand Theft Auto V
- The Elder Scrolls Online
- Far Cry 5
- Warframe
- Dota 2
- Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege

Personally, I found quite a few surprises in there, but it’s always nice to see titles like Celeste, which recently sold 500,000 copies, and My Time At Portia get some statistical recognition. With the Steam Winter Sale in full effect until January 3rd, it’s a great time to soak up the last of this year with some of Steam’s highest rated games.
