Get hyped Switch owners. The CEO of Chucklefish, the indie game publisher responsible for Stardew Valley, confirmed a hard release date for the Nintendo Switch version of Stardew Valley and fans won’t have to wait long. It will be out this Thursday, Oct. 5 for the price of $14.99.

We learned that it was approved last week, and clearly, that was one of the last hurdles the popular indie farming/life sim needed to clear to make it onto the Switch eShop. Stardew Valley, which is heavily inspired by the Harvest Moon series which made its name on the Nintendo family of consoles, is a natural fit for the portable Switch console, and may be the first opportunity that many Harvest Moon fans get to play it.
