Electronic Arts and DICE’s action shooter Star Wars Battlefront II is free on the Epic Games Store for a limited time, as announced last week.
The free offer is the Celebration Edition of the game which contains a collection of customization options released up to December 2019. It includes more than 25 Hero skins, 125 Trooper and Reinforcement skins, 100 emotes and voice lines, and more than 70 victory poses.
Star Wars Battlefront II originally released in 2017 and received free content updates with new modes, maps, and a complete overhaul of the game’s progression system to minimize microtransactions. The last update for the game was released in April 2020 with The Battle on Scarif update, adding familiar locations to fight on both land and air such as Hoth, Tatooine, and Death Star II.
All Epic Games Store users can claim the free game and keep forever through the store page beginning today until Thursday, Jan. 21 at 11 a.m. ET.
The Epic Games Store continues to offer free PC games weekly since the digital store’s launch in December 2018. The next free game offered through the platform will be the 4X turn-based strategy game Galactic Civilizations III from Jan. 21 to Jan. 28.
