Splatoon 2 is one of the most hotly anticipated titles coming to the Nintendo Switch this year, and a one-weekend Global Testfire has just been announced for the game. Nintendo uploaded a new video onto their YouTube channel today giving details on the event and times, which you can see below. Players will get the chance to square off against opponents from around the world in the multiplayer demo.

The first Splatoon also had a Global Testfire, and the event for Splatoon 2 will be virtually the same. One weekend in March, 3/24 – 3/26 players can download and play an exclusive demo for the game on Switch. You won’t have access to the demo all weekend, however, as it’ll only be up and running for one-hour increments. The times are listed below, and given in Pacific Time.

Fri. 3/24

  • 12:00-12:59pm PT
  • 8:00-8:59pm PT

Sat. 3/25

  • 4:00-4:59am PT
  • 12:00-12:59pm PT
  • 8:00-8:59pm PT

Sun. 3/26

  • 4:00-4:59am PT

As you can see, some of the times are a little odd, taking place early in the morning. However, for those picking up the Switch on launch day, it’ll definitely be an exciting weekend.  The demo will give players access to four different main weapons including a new pair of guns called the Splat Dualies, and remixed versions of the Splat Roller and Splat Charger.

Splatoon 2 launches on Nintendo Switch sometime during Summer 2017. Make sure you take a look at a few screenshots from one of the game’s new maps, Barnacle Sports Club. You can also see seven mistakes we’d like to see Splatoon 2 fix from the first game.
