Another character makes their way back to the stage of history, as Bandai Namco has confirmed Siegfried Schtauffen will be in Soulcalibur VI. Siegfried has long been one of the primary characters of the series, both in terms of advertising and his role in the series. He’s also one of four characters that have appeared in every game in the series since Soul Edge, with the others being Nightmare, Mitsurugi, and Cervantes.
Siegfried is basically the antithesis of Nightmare, and he comes into battle wielding his giant sword, Zweihander. His moveset in Soulcalibur VI looks very similar to past games with a focus on big blows that cause a lot of damage. Despite his incredible strength and weapon size, he can still pull off some quick combos, although not as quick as other characters. You can see the full reveal trailer down below.
Soulcalibur VI is set to release sometime in 2018 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC, although a specific date hasn’t been announced.
