r those of you following Indie studio Point Blank Games’ turn-based title Shock Tactics, it is now available on the Steam Store for PC. It is clearly inspired by the X-Com series both in tone and visually. However, in the stead of playing defense as aliens invade Earth, players take on the role of a team of space explorers. They are tasked with travelling to planets previously unexplored where they will face, you guess it, aliens.
This is not to say that Shock Tactics is a knockoff in any way. The game features large bosses and exploration, which adds to the experience for any fan of turn-based games. The game will also allow players to customize the name and look of their squad members, so whether you want to name them after your friends or come up with hilarious combinations, the choice is yours.
Shock Tactics can be purchased for £14.99/€19.95/$19.99 on Steam here. It is also available as a physical copy in certain stores.
