The game was teased a few days ago, and it’s titled “Shikabane Kurai no Bouken Meshi,” which translates as “Deadly Eating Adventure Meal.” It’ll come for PS4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan on January 27, 2022.

It’ll cost 6,980 yen plus taxes on both platforms. Pre-orders in Japan start tomorrow, with a bunch of bonuses in store.

As you may easily notice, the character design is by Takehito Harada, whom Nippon Ichi fans will immediately recognize as the artist behind the Disgaea series.

The keywords are “character creation,” “dungeon survival” and “simulation RPG” (that’s how Japanese people call turn-based strategy JRPGs).

The aim is to explore dungeons while collecting ingredients that can be used to cook meals to survive and buff your characters. You can control parties of four.

Not only you can eat food that makes your characters more powerful, but also feed poisonous meals to enemies to weaken them.

The character creator is quite deep while retaining the style of the character designer, letting you customize plenty of elements of your heroes.
