As we patiently wait for the official release date for Shadow Warriors 2 on consoles, it appears the announcement is coming soon. Earlier this month, a new trailer surfaced that announced the release date for the PC version and that date is just in a couple of weeks on Oct. 13.
Developer Flying Wild Hog posted a picture of the team working on the game on the official Shadow Warrior 2 Twitter account. Alongside the picture was a caption trumpeting the fact the game had officially gone gold.

While there is still no actual announcement about a console version and when it will be available, there has long been talk about those versions coming out sometime next year. That would seem to mean the version that has gone gold is indeed merely the PC version, though without an official announcement it’s hard to tell just what to expect. Alongside the announcement of the PC version’s release date, the development team released a video showing the over the top action this series is now famous for.
Shadow Warrior 2 is an expansion and sequel to the 2013 remake. Among the features that are most anticipated among the fan base is a four player co-op as well as more open levels than in the first game in this rebooted series.
