Marvelous Entertainment and Xseed Games announced via press release that Senran Kagura Peach Ball is coming to North America and Europe for the Nintendo Switch.

Senran Kagura Peach Ball goes where no other Senran Kagura goes before: pinball. Even though the game’s story revolves around an experiment that transforms the series’ resident kunoichi into half-animal hybrids, apparently the only way to reverse the changes is repeatedly hit them with the titular/magical Peach Ball via a pinball table. Makes about as much sense as the rest of the franchise, but it’s all in good fun.

Even though this is a spinoff title, Peach Ball comes with everything fans have come to expect from the franchise. The game will feature a story revolving around the polymorphed protagonists, several minigames, a diorama mode, and a Dressing Room, because why settle for a bunny girl when you can have a bunny girl in a swimsuit? Plus, since Senran Kagura Peach Ball is a pinball game, players can customize the tables to their liking.

Below you can read an official description of the game:

“So…this is going to take some explaining. Haruka, the mad scientist of Homura’s Crimson Squad, is up to her usual experiments again, brewing up mysterious concoctions with unknown effects. Unfortunately for her fellow shinobi, she’s chosen the local arcade she works at as her laboratory, storing her experiments in the bathroom. After an accidental outbreak infects five of her shinobi friends, she learns that her latest concoction can transform those exposed it into animals, at least mentally.

Now, with Asuka, Yumi, Yomi, Ryona, and Murasaki causing wild havoc in and around the arcade, Haruka has devised a way to return these shinobi to their senses – the mystical Peach Ball. Applied to a subject’s body repeatedly, with the proper vibrational force, it can undo the effects of her experiment. Conveniently, it’s just the right size for a pinball table. Now all Haruka needs is a skilled assistant to operate the table, bopping each shinobi girl with the ball until she comes around.”

Senran Kagura Peach Ball will release this summer exclusively on the Nintendo Switch for $39.99. While the game will release digitally, gamers can pre-order a limited physical release on the XSEED Games’ store and select retailers. As with the rest of the franchise, Senran Kagura Peach Ball is rated “M” for Mature.

The game launched in Japan back in December, and you can watch an extended gameplay video here. Of course, it’s just as unsafe for work as the content of this article.

If you’re interested in the franchise, in general, you should take a look at all the info about Producer Kenichiro Takaki leaving Marvelous (but he is still working on Senran Kagura series) and joining Cygames.
