SEGA brings the Sonic tunes.

While the quality of Sonic the Hedgehog games will be an issue of constant debate, most will agree that the series always has great music. SEGA is now uploading Sonic the Hedgehog soundtracks to Spotify so you can listen without having to bring out the Genesis.

To find these soundtracks, just search for the artist SEGA on Spotify. The collection of albums covers most of the series’ history, from 1993’s Sonic CD to 2013’s Sonic Lost World.

SEGA also uploaded the Jet Set Radio Future soundtrack to their Spotify page, as the title was critically acclaimed for its genre-busting soundtrack that combined rock and sample-heavy hip-hop.

Finally, long-time SEGA collaborators Crush 40 are now on Spotify as part of this update. Crush 40 composed several songs for the Sonic the Hedgehog series, starting with Sonic Adventure in 1999.

Spotify typically doesn’t include video game soundtracks, but hopefully this update could be the beginning of a trend. Spotify could save a lot of time by putting a lot of hard to find soundtracks in one location.

What classic game soundtracks would you like to see on Spotify in the future? Let us know in the comments.
